Before you begin
A few useful answers before you start.
How large can my split PDF be?
Split PDF accepts up to 200 MB on desktops reporting at least 8 GB of device memory. Other desktops, phones and tablets have smaller limits shown in the upload area. Output-file count and total output-size limits protect device memory; use fewer, larger groups when a selection exceeds them.
How do I download the result?
A selection producing one PDF downloads directly. Multiple PDFs are offered together in a ZIP, with optional individual downloads on the result page. Download starts when you choose it; Back to settings keeps your source and selections.
Can I extract specific pages?
Yes. Select the pages or ranges you want to keep. Check the resulting files before sharing them.
Which page numbers should I use?
Use the page positions shown in the split workspace, starting with page 1. A document can have printed labels or an introduction that make its printed page numbers differ from these positions.
Does splitting remove pages from my original PDF?
No. Splitting creates new output files from your selection. The original PDF on your device remains unchanged.
Are my files uploaded to split a PDF?
No. Page selection and PDF extraction run locally in your browser. Larger documents can require more browser memory and processing time.
